Ryan Hangs On for 11th In Snowball Derby
Ryan Lawler enjoyed his first ever Snowball Derby, but didn’t enjoy the finish he had hoped for.  With several wins under his belt this season, including the big Winchester 400, the 20-year old driver was looking to cap off the impressive season by winning the most prestigious Super Late Model race of the year at Five Flags Speedway (FL).
Lawler ran well at Pensacola, but struggled with a loose racecar during the race.  He hung on to it and stayed out of trouble to bring home an 11th place finish in the 40th Annual Snowball Derby.

“We had a good racecar, it just wasn’t a good enough piece,” said Lawler.  “We tried to make some adjustments but we freed it up too much and it was just too loose.  My car was crazy all weekend I would go twenty laps and then the car was way off. I had a good time it was my first time down here and I am definitely coming back.

“The Winchester 400 was a big win but to win here that would be bigger. We are going to be back next year.

We want to get us one of these. We made a mistake and didn’t come to the Blizzard (Five Flags' regular-season Super Late Model series) race like we wanted to and it showed."
