Bad Luck Strikes Lawler Again at Watermelon Capital
On any given weekend at any given track, if Ryan Lawler is there, there is no doubt that he is going to be fast.  That was the case at Watermelon Capital Speedway at the latest ASA Late Model South event.
“We were fast, and started up front but the series inverted a lot of cars,” said Lawler.  “They inverted nine total so that pushed us back quite a bit when we had to start seventh. There were about three or four of us that were on the move an a few up front who were starting to move backwards.

Lawler wasn’t the only thing that was fast at the track, and things quickly went awry as cars in front of him came together on lap 6 of the 125-lap feature event.

“The cars just started piling up in front of us and we didn’t have anywhere that we could go,” added Lawler.  “The tow end got knocked in real bad from the contact, and the car was tore up pretty good and our night ended early.   We just have to shake this ASA bad luck and try again at Iowa Speedway.”

Ryan's night ended early at Cordele.
